“Celebrity AR” refers to a series of kiosk and mobile-based experiences developed by Brightline Interactive where users can take photos with AR videos of famous athletes, musicians and characters.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Disney Character Clicks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Activation Dates:<\/strong> 2023, 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disney Character Clicks allows visitors at the Walt Disney World Orlando resorts to take photos with up to four Disney costumed characters at a time. The initial launch featured clips of characters wearing special “Disney100” anniversary outfits celebrating Disney’s centennial, which were then replaced with clips featuring the characters’ classic outfits in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Oversaw all motion graphic design for kiosk attract loops, interactions, and animated background elements<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Prepared all character video clips for integration into the kiosk app: applied standardized video color treatments, made manual edits to fix keying issues, added artificial shadows beneath characters’ feet to better incorporate them into the real environment, ensured that characters were sized and timed correctly<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Collaborated with Disney team to determine optimal poses to ensure characters remain within strict performance guidelines while also ensuring the composition of the final output image is ideal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Pose with Karol G<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Project Role:<\/strong> Principal Technical Artist<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Activation Date:<\/strong> 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our team built a traveling kiosk-based AR experience as part of Karol G’s 2022 “$trip Love” tour. Concert attendees could get a virtual photo with Karol G without needing a backstage pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Supervised and assisted Junior-level designers in the creation of kiosk attract loop graphics<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Prepared all Karol G video clips for integration into the kiosk app: applied standardized video color treatments, made manual edits to fix keying issues, added artificial shadows beneath Karol’s feet to better incorporate her into the real environment, ensured that Karol was sized and timed correctly<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Performed extensive color correction and rotoscoping to ensure Karol’s hair color was tour-accurate (as it had been dyed a different color after the initial photoshoot)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Assisted with UI motion graphics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Imagine Dragons – Mercury Tour Band Photo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Much like with Karol G, our team built a traveling kiosk AR experience where users could pose for a photo with the band members of Imagine Dragons as part of their 2022 Mercury Tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Space Jam – Pose With The Tune Squad<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Activation Date:<\/strong> 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        To promote the release of Space Jam: A New Legacy, AT&T retail stores installed a touchscreen kiosk experience where users could pose with a 3D animated version of the entire Tune Squad basketball team, or a single Looney Tunes character of their choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Designed and animated kiosk attract loop to play when kiosk is not in use<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Designed and animated UI interactions and animated overlays<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Applied normalizing color treatments to all 3D animated footage<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Collaborated with 3D character animation team to ensure that delivered assets would function correctly within application framework <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
